Deslea R. Judd, B.Th. is an artist, writer, web designer and programmer based in Sydney, Australia. She received acclaim for her work as a freelance journalist and won the Australian Press Council Prize in 1994 for an essay on ethics in journalism. She was a major contributor to the Dictionary of Christian Biography (Heythrop University, 2002). Deslea's academic background is in philosophy, church history, Christian ethics and theology; she is self-taught in the arts and technology.

In recent years Deslea has turned her attention to the entertainment industry, particularly the ways in which popular culture represents a search for a post-modern philosophy. As is quite evident by her subject matter, she has a special love for The X Files. She has an established position within that fandom, running several popular websites and has had interactions with both the cast and production staff of the show. However, she also has an interest in other sci-fi and cult-icon productions such as BTVS and Firefly, and also in the more cutting-edge work emerging from the Vancouver film industry. At present, she is focusing on sketch art and fiction writing, but she also has one eye on the screenplay funding cycles at home and abroad.
